HairTechVision Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 3, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how HairTechVision processes personal data when users access the HairTechVision website, applications, AI-assisted hairstyle preview tools, media generation features, and supported social media integrations.

HairTechVision is currently operated by Hair Tech S.A.S. (“HairTechVision”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). We process personal data in accordance with applicable data protection law, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) where applicable.

1. Data we may process

Depending on how HairTechVision is used, we may process:

2. Why we process personal data

We may process personal data to:

3. Legal bases

Where the GDPR applies, processing may be based on performance of a contract, steps requested before entering into a contract, compliance with legal obligations, legitimate interests such as security and service operation, or consent where consent is required.

Hair salons and other business users are responsible for ensuring that they have an appropriate legal basis for personal data they upload or submit to HairTechVision, including client photos, videos, and identifying information.

4. Client photos, videos, and AI processing

HairTechVision may process photos and videos uploaded by authorized users to generate hairstyle previews or other requested media. These files may be transmitted to service providers used to perform storage, hosting, AI generation, media processing, or delivery.

HairTechVision does not require users to grant ownership of their uploaded client content. Processing is performed only as necessary to provide the requested service, operate the platform, maintain security, and meet applicable legal requirements.

5. Social media integrations

HairTechVision may support account connections with services such as Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. When a user connects a social account, the relevant platform may provide account identifiers, permissions, authorization tokens, and other information necessary for the integration.

HairTechVision uses this information to maintain the requested connection and to perform actions initiated by the user, such as uploading or publishing selected content. Social access tokens and similar credentials are handled by the HairTechVision backend and are not intended to be exposed as client-controlled secrets.

HairTechVision does not post content to a connected social account unless the user initiates or authorizes the relevant publishing action through supported features.

6. Third-party service providers

We may use third-party providers for hosting, database services, cloud object storage, AI generation, media processing, payments, email delivery, analytics, security, and social platform APIs.

These providers process information only to the extent necessary to provide their services to HairTechVision or as otherwise permitted by applicable law and their respective agreements and policies.

7. International data transfers

Some service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where required, appropriate safeguards are used for international transfers in accordance with applicable data protection law.

8. Data retention

Personal data is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including providing the Service, maintaining account history, meeting contractual or legal obligations, resolving disputes, preventing abuse, and protecting system security.

Retention periods may differ depending on the type of information, the service used, account status, applicable legal requirements, and user or business instructions.

9. Security

HairTechVision uses technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal data and account access. These measures may include authentication controls, session management, access restrictions, encrypted transport, protected backend credentials, audit records, and controlled storage of social authorization data.

No internet-based system can guarantee absolute security, and users are responsible for protecting their own credentials and devices.

10. User rights

Where applicable, individuals may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection to certain processing, as well as the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

Individuals may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data protection authority.

11. Social account disconnection

Users may disconnect supported social accounts through HairTechVision when that functionality is available. Disconnecting prevents future HairTechVision actions that require that authorization, subject to technical processing already initiated and obligations that require limited retention.

Users may also manage or revoke permissions directly through the privacy or security settings of the relevant third-party social platform.

12. Children

HairTechVision is designed primarily for professional and business use and is not intended for children to create independent accounts. Business users must comply with applicable law when processing images or personal data relating to minors.

13. Cookies and similar technologies

The HairTechVision website and web-based services may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for authentication, session management, security, and core functionality. Additional technologies, if introduced, will be handled in accordance with applicable consent requirements.

14. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in HairTechVision, applicable law, security requirements, or third-party integrations. The effective date shown at the top identifies the current version.

15. Contact

Privacy-related requests and questions may be submitted through the official HairTechVision contact channels published on the HairTechVision website.
